Three decades
and a month ago, the Maryknoll Congregation, formerly the Foreign Mission
Sisters of St. Dominic, veered its charism to full-time missionary work
thus bequeathing their 54 years of management of St. James Academy to
another Dominican-inspired Congregation, the Dominican Sisters of St.
Catherine of Siena.
From the year 1980 hence forth we accepted the great responsibility
of managing the school, guided by the Vision-Mission of providing quality
catholic Christian education to the youth of Navotas-Malabon communities.
The love, care and concern of the Dominican Sisters to give the best
education to the community had tremendously advanced progressively the
schools physical contours and instructional facilities which have met
the benchmark of an excellent learning institution.
Thirty years of dedicated and generous educational service to the Diocese
of Kalookan ends today with gratitude to our Heavenly Father for giving
us the opportunity to serve the people of this place. Our sincere thanks
to our dear Bishop for his kind and unceasing moral and spiritual support
and to all those good people who had given us the encouragement to fulfill
our task in the pedagogical field.
In behalf of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine
of Siena, I, Sister Leonor Pagorogon, OP, the out-going directress now
bequeath the responsibility of the school management to you ---- Sister
Aida Frencillo, OP of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of the
Trinity:
1. Bible
2. Flag
3. Documents
4. Flowers
May your days be filled with successful endeavors as you take the helm
of the educational ladder, of St. James Academy.
God bless.
Sister
Leonor M. Pagorogon, O.P.
