SJA GS Dept to Undergo PAASCU Resurvey Visit, Scheduled this November 18 -19, 2008

St. James Academy Grade School Department will undergo its PAASCU (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, College and Universities) Resurvey Visit this November 17 – 18.

Ms. Lucia Andan, GS principal said all the documents required by PAASCU have been already submitted to the PAASCU Office last October 20.

She stressed the need for the concerted efforts of all teachers and personnel in making the visit a relevant and successful one. “Of course, we need fervent prayers of everyone so the visit will have no hitches” added Ms. Andan. READ MORE

CUPCUPIN TO TALK ON TEACHING STRATEGIES IN ENGLISH IN ISABELA

Mrs. Rosalinda Cupcupin, GS Academic Affairs Coordinator will have a talk on “Teaching Strategies in English” on a one-day seminar sponsored by SIBS Publishing House to sixty faculty members of Our Lady of Atocha, November 8, 2008, in Iligan Isabela.

Cupcupin said that she hopes to impart the best practices in St. James Academy GS Department as well as the learning curves she has encountered towards improving the quality of education in the GS Department. Such endeavor has been a joint effort of Mrs. Cupcupin and the publishing house for the past five years which is in line with the common belief that such effort would be instrumental in helping developing the leaders of tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pauline Gureng of La Salle Greenhills High School will give seminar on Mathematics.

HS Dept holds TalkFest 2008, November Declared English Month

The High School Department is currently holding its “Talkfest 2008”, a month long celebration for the English month this November.

The program with the theme, “Literary Journey: A Sage Way of Looking into Life” has the following objectives:

• Demonstrate critical thinking among students
